“If there were a measure of “mental health,” it would involve the ability of individuals to grow into the fullness of each season (as experienced in the mandala of the medicine wheel) – that is, the ability to full become, or enact the contents of each shield (season).” Stephen Foster from the book: “The Four Shields”.
Healthy balance is essential to any ecosystem in nature. The environmental and ecological devastation we are experiencing is a direct result of disrupting healthy balance. The same is true for our own health in body, mind, and spirit. Our “ecosystem” needs to be in healthy balance. Exploring the Medicine Wheel offers a unique opportunity to directly experience where we are out of balance. With support from being in nature and with encouragement from your guides and the “tribe”, areas of imbalance will become clear and you will be empowered to align your life in a more balanced way, promoting healing and transformation.
During this weekend exploration of the medicine wheel we will camp and eat together, spending lots of solo time in relationship with “the more than human world” as well as sitting in council.
